Softube Model 82
Model 82 is an authentic simulation of the legendary Roland SH-101 analog Synthesizer from the early ’80s (1982). The core of the Model 82 offers the same features as the original SH-101, including a single VCO, a sound mixer, a VCF, an envelope, and an LFO.
Also onboard is a full recreation of the easy-to-use sequencer and arpeggiator. In this software case with DAW sync. Model 82 also offers three original, selectable color schemes in red, blue, and silver.
Besides the authentic signal flow, Softube has added modern features to its emulation, including stereo doubling and drive. An additional side panel gives you velocity and aftertouch control of the VCF and VCA.
Often forgotten, but a great addon is the modular component of Model 12. It comes in two different versions: the instrument plugin and a version of Softube Modular, consisting of five modules (VCO, VCF-VCA, envelope, arpeggiator, and effects).
Thus, you get a full modular SH-101 Synthesizer emulation on top. It’s an excellent deal that you shouldn’t miss if you like SH-101 sounds.
Softube Model 82 is available now exclusively for registered users for $19/15€ + VAT for a limited time. It runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows.
