Togu Audio Line has today released a new version of its popular free filter plugin TAL-Filter-2. In version 3.0 TAL-Filter-2 remains free of charge without registration.
A highlight is the new, reworked user interface that improves the workflow a lot.
TAL-Filter-2 3.0
TAL-Filter-2 3.0 is the latest version of the free filter plug-in from Togu Audio Line. It has a new, revised GUI that makes it easier and more precise to work with. According to the developer, it’s a host synced filter module with different filter types, panorama, and volume modulation possibilities. It features super clean state variable filters with a diode clipper in the feedback patch. Available are LP 12dB, BP 12dB, pan, and volume and the filter types can nicely self-oscillate.
Handy, the plugin is not only a filter/modulation tool but also an animated panner and volume shaper. For this, you have to select the Vol or Panner instead of the filter. Then, these modulations are host sync to your DAW with different sync options including normal, dotted, and more. It not only masters filtering, but it also works nice for tremolo, trance gate effects, or panorama modulations, says Patrick Kunz of TAL Software.
TAL-Filter-2 3.0 also includes a legacy mode which makes patches from the previous versions compatible. Please don’t use it for new patches. Plus, it now ships with a new preset manager not available in the previous versions.
TAL-Filter-2 3.0 is available now as a free download for macOS including M1 support, Linux, and Windows. It runs as a 64-bit VST, VST3, AU and AAX plugin.
