IK Multimedia Space Delay
Space Delay is an authentic emulation of the t from 1974 for macOS and Windows.
Like the Tape Machine Collection, creating the Space Delay began with an original unit fully restored to pristine “factory spec” condition.
Every element of the design was carefully analyzed, inspected, and measured to create a precise physical model of every circuit, from the preamps to the playback heads.
Like the original unit, IK Multimedia Space Delay offers the original 12 modes, including the reverb-only mode. You can tweak it with the original parameters, like bass, treble, reverb volume and pan, rate, feedback, and delay volume and pan.
This is the original feature, but IK Multimedia added more features, making it more modern and flexible to use. It starts with stereo operation, where we can pan each of the three playback heads and the spring reverb separately for immersive stereo soundscapes.
Then, it offers high-pass and low-pass filters that let you shape the sound before hitting the tape for more powerful sound shaping.
Also onboard is ducking to create dynamic echo effects or cut through even the most crowded mix with this convenient ducking feature.
Further, Space Delay features control over the unit noise and tape age for adding extra grit and grime to your tracks for a more vintage, Lo-Fi sound.
