Waves has today announced that they are giving way its dynamic processing plugin MaxxVolume for free until August 31st. This is another plugin that Waves Audio gives us in the current situation.
Waves says: The very first plugin of its kind, MaxxVolume performs all essential dynamics processes in one convenient tool. Combining technologies from Waves’ acclaimed L2 Ultramaximizer™, C1 Parametric Compander, Renaissance Vox, and Renaissance Compressor, MaxxVolume is ideal for mixing and mastering as well as broadcast and post-production, perfect for voiceovers, vocals, and instrumental tracks.
Waves MaxxVolume consists of different parts: Everything starts with a compressor that offers a low level and the high-level section. These operate much like a basic compressor, the low level brings up the quieter parts, while the high level one is responsible for reigning in loudness. Both sections include a threshold and gain control to adjust the compressor.
In the middle, you can see the big bar which is the leveler, which sets the overall dynamics and is equipped with a gate and a leveler. It also includes an auto makeup gain feature with a fixed ratio. Like all Waves plugins, it features undo, redo, and A/B functionality. Looks like a nice, entry-level compressor for every music producer.
Waves MaxxVolume is available now as a free download until August 31s and is available VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin for PC & Mac.
